JAMES E. RICHMOND, President and CEO
Radiance Corporation was founded by James E. Richmond, CEM, CMVP. He is President and CEO of Radiance Corporation and has over twenty-three (23) years experience in the energy conservation and renewable energy industry. Mr. Richmond's core expertise includes geothermal heat pump design and installation, technical issues related to building systems, energy efficient technologies, and measurement and verification of energy savings. James E. Richmond is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) (Association of Energy Engineers). Prior to founding Radiance Corporation, Mr. Richmond founded and operated Energy Solutions Network, Inc. and devoted seven (7) years to developing and managing over $12,000,000 in guaranteed energy savings projects for Colorado public school districts. Prior to that he devoted seven years (7) years to managing product development and sales for environmental data acquisition systems and electronic metering systems used to measure and verify the performance of energy savings, with two (2) Colorado based manufacturers.
Prior to that, Mr. Richmond devoted another seven (7) years performing thousands of commercial and residential energy audits, developed award-winning demand-side management programs for municipal utility companies, and assisted with the development of the Washington State Energy Code. Prior to that in the mid-1980's, Mr. Richmond sold solar domestic hot water systems to residential customers in California. His vast network of customers and contacts throughout the energy efficiency industry led him to co-found the Energy Professionals Network as a way to deliver superior value to his new and repeat-business clients.
ELIZABETH T. F. GEHRING, PE, Principal Engineer
Elizabeth Gehring is an architectural engineer focused on mechanical engineering. She has over 22 years of experience developing construction documents and specifications that implement total building design concepts. Ms. Gehring has special skills in HVAC and plumbing design with a strong broad base knowledge in fire protection, acoustics, illumination, day lighting, and electrical, structural and architectural design.
Ms. Gehring earned a Master of Science, Civil Engineering, Building Systems Option (HVAC) from the University of Colorado, and a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, Environmental Systems Option (HVAC) from Pennsylvania State University. She has been President and Principal Engineer of Gehring & Associates, Architectural Engineers since 1996. Ms. Gehring is a Professional Engineer (PE), licensed in Colorado.
